How do you handle a tree that is dead but standing back in the woods?
If it is not threatening anything, it can sometimes be left for wildlife. If it is near a structure, a fence, a driveway, or a place you use, it should come down before it gets brittle, because dead trees are more dangerous to climb the longer they stand.
