How do I know if a tree is dangerous?
The signs worth a call: a lean that has changed recently, roots lifting on one side, a crack or a hollow in the trunk, big dead limbs in the canopy, a limb hanging broken, fungus growing at the base, or a pine that has gone brown. None of those fix themselves. We look at the tree and tell you honestly whether it needs work.
Are you insured?
Yes. Northwest Florida Tree Care carries $2,000,000 in general liability insurance. Tree work puts weight and saw cuts near roofs, fences and power lines, so it is worth asking any company you call, and worth checking the figure before a crew starts.
Will you top my tree?
No. Topping cuts limbs to stubs, the stubs rot, and the tree throws out weak shoots that break in the next storm. We reduce a tree's size and weight by cutting back to healthy lateral branches, which is slower to explain and much better for the tree.
Do you haul the debris away?
Yes. Limbs, brush, and wood are hauled off as part of pruning and removal jobs, and debris pickup is also a service on its own if you have a pile you need gone.
What about the stump?
Stump grinding is priced as its own line, so you can have it done with the removal or leave it. Most people want it ground so they can sod or plant over the spot.
